What does God expect of me?
Reading Micah 6: 8 we can know what God expect of us:
“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”
To practice justice
It is not easy in certain circumstances to be fair, but the Bible teaches that we must be even if it is difficult.
We must always remember that justice is applied based on love, because God acts in that same way with us.
To love mercy
We must be willing to forgive and be compassionate to others. This is the way Jesus acts, and we must imitate him.
May we humble ourselves before Him.
To humble ourselves before God is to accept our limitations and at the same time not try to impose our will on God. Recognizing that he is the lord of our lives, letting go of our own interests, so we can surrender completely to his feet and give God what He expects of us.
When this happens, we can impact others by our example. So let us not neglect our relationship with God, and keep constant communication with Him through prayer and reading the Bible.
